3.3.6 Selecting a title for the systematic review
In the context of qualitative systematic reviews, a clear and specific title is vital for readers to quickly understand the review’s scope and relevance. A precise title helps readers assess the review’s applicability and locate the review document in research databases using relevant keywords. The systematic review title should accurately reflect the content, including details about participants, phenomenon of interest and context. It should be concise and not phrased as a question. The title should also specify whether it is a qualitative review or a qualitative review protocol.
For example:
Parents’ experiences of health literacy in parenting infants at home: a qualitative systematic review protocol
Exploring the experiences and perceptions of participating in a peer-support intervention for adults with chronic non-cancer pain: a qualitative systematic review
