JBIC Individual Mentorship Program

JBIC Individual Mentorship Program

Introduction

JBI recognises that mentorship can be an important and effective strategy for building skills and capacity in JBI methodologies, methods and approach globally. A JBIC Entity can mentor an individual who is striving to improve their understanding of JBI methodology, this could include students, academics seeking to upskill, prepare individuals to join already established JBIC Entities, collaboration on JBI methodological papers, and many other reasons.

Mentorship can be between a member of a JBIC Entity and any individual who is external to JBIC.

To accrue points for this activity a JBIC Entity must:

a)                    Must complete and co-sign the JBIC Mentorship Program Registration Form prior to 31 March of each year, detailing

b)                    Mentor and Mentee must participate in an annual, online evaluation regarding the effectiveness of the partnership.

NOTE: The Global Engagement Team will contact the Mentor and Mentee at the end of each year and provide them with a link to complete the evaluation.

REGISTRATION FOR INDIVIDUAL MENTORSHIP ARRANGEMENT.

When initiating a Mentorship partnership the Mentor JBC Entity must work with their Mentee to complete the JBIC Mentorship Registration form, which is then to be submitted to the Global Engagement Office by 30 April each year.

Mentorships can be registered from 1 - 3 years at a time, this timeframe is decided upon between the Mentor/s and Mentee/s.   The Global Engagement Office will contact the Mentor annually to ensure that the partnership is still in place, however a new registration form is only required at the end of the time stipulated on the registration form.

Please note: If you are mentoring for the purposes of helping to establish a new JBIC Entity, JBI cannot agree to a new JBIC Entity being established in a city/state that has an already established JBIC Entity. If this is the case please consider collaborating under the umbrella of the already established Entity.

NOTE: A Mentor Entity can have more than one Mentorship partnership in place, however a registration form must be completed for each of these partnerships.
