Completing a Schedule of JBI Evidence Summary Updates
Writers receive a schedule that involves a set of JBI Evidence Summaries to update. Writers are expected to closely follow the Methodological Guidance for developing and updating resources.
Every JBI Evidence Summary update must have an accompanying Technical Development Report.Â
Prior to sending through the completed JBI Evidence Summaries and Technical Development Reports, it is important to ensure all aspects are complete. Use the Checklist for Completed Evidence Summaries to ensure core components are met and adhered to.
Once contributors have finished developing or updating a schedule of JBI Evidence Summary updates the complete summaries, along with the Technical Development Report for each summary, are emailed to jbisciwriter@adelaide.edu.au.
Updated JBI Evidence Summaries and corresponding Technical Reports are sent to a Field Editor who will undertake the first stage of peer review. The Field Editor will provide feedback directly to the contributor. If the content requires minor editing, the Field Editor completes this and the content is approved and will be sent to be uploaded to the JBI EBP Database. If the content requires considerable changes, the Field Editor will send this back to the contributor for changes to be made. For Scientific Writers, no negotiation of changes will be entered into. Scientific Writers who do not undertake to make changes will not receive payment and their work will be re-allocated to other program participants for completion and payment.
All newly developed resources, or resources that have undergone a substantial amendment, undergo a second stage of peer review undertaken by a Field ERG member or Field Collaborator.
