JBI EBP Database Editorial Office

Welcome to the Editorial Office for the JBI EBP Database

The JBI Evidence-based Practice (EBP) Database is the premier evidence-based point of care resource to inform and guide healthcare decision making.

Aligned with the JBI Model of Evidence-based Healthcare (EBHC), the JBI EBP Database facilitates the synthesis, transfer and implementation of EBHC practice. It is the only EBP resource assisting clinicians with implementing evidence into practice through quality improvement initiatives resulting in an improvement in healthcare delivery to patients.

World class evidence-based resources

With over 30 specialty field areas, the JBI EBP Database provides extensive access to a wide range of topics.

The JBI EBP Database includes an integrated dataset of three core document types, each of which is essential for EBP. JBI Evidence Summaries bring together world-class evidence in a single, easy to read summary crafted by review experts. JBI Recommended Practices are standardised procedures for best practice in the delivery of clinical care, helping to reduce inappropriate variation in how care is delivered to patients. JBI Best Practice Information Sheets are a four-page synopsis of a JBI Systematic Review, written in the language of practising healthcare professionals, with an emphasis on recommendations for practice to increase accessibility of systematic review findings in clinical centres and library systems.

Evidence-based resources you can trust

Following a rigorous editorial process, JBI Field Editors work in partnership with an extensive network of international experts to provide high quality, relevant and up-to-date evidence-based information and guidance for immediate use by health professionals.

Every speciality field is overseen by an international Expert Reference Group (ERG) whose role it is to identify and peer review key practice priority topics to ensure relevance and impact on clinical practice.

Our JBI Field Collaborators and JBI Scientific Writers are integral to ensuring resources are continuously updated and created to our rigorous and transparent standards.

With its meticulous editorial process and its strong links with quality improvement it is easy to see why the JBI EBP Database is the trusted resource for clinicians.
