 What is JBI PACES?

JBI PACES (Practical Application of Clinical Evidence System) is a software package designed to assist in the conduct of JBI evidence implementation programs, including evidence-based audit and feedback.

JBI PACES creates an opportunity to implement and evaluate changes in clinical practice, and therefore encourages action.

How can I access JBI PACES?

 Access through MYJBI

JBI Evidence Implementation Training

If you attended the JBI Evidence Implementation Training Program you will have complimentary access to JBI PACES for 18 months from commencement.

If you attended the JBI Evidence Implementation Training Workshop you will have complimentary access to JBI PACES for 6 months from commencement.

JBIC Entity Core Staff

If you are an active core staff member of a contributing JBIC Centre of Excellence you will have complimentary access.

To learn more about joining the JBI Collaboration visit our website, the JBIC resource portal or email jbic@adelaide.edu.au.

 Access through Wolters Kluwer/Ovid

Access to JBI PACES is available via some institutional/organisational subscription packages.

Check with your institution IT/Library services to see if you are eligible to access via their subscription.

Institutional subscriptions are managed by our commercial partners, Wolters Kluwer, who can be contacted at wkhealth-support@wolterskluwer.com for more information about pricing, permissions, access, etc.

Project participants requirements

Project Administrator:  Must have active subscription
Project Coordinator:  Must have active subscription
Data Collector:  May be a user who does not have an account on PACES but has been invited to a project for data entry only. They will be emailed a Tokenized URL and the project key to allow data entry.  A Data Collector can log-in and enter data for their nominated site(s). They will only be able to see the data from the site they have been assigned to.

 How do I subscribe to JBI PACES?

There are a couple of ways to subscribe:

Complimentary subscription- to be eligible for complimentary access you must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Be a nominated Core Staff member of a JBI Collaboration (JBIC) Entity.  (To learn more about joining the JBI Collaboration visit our website, the JBIC resource portal or email jbic@adelaide.edu.au ), or

  • Attend JBI Evidence Implementation Training Program at JBI or a JBIC Entity.  Please see our website  Education page for training opportunities.

    1. Attended the JBI Evidence Implementation Training Workshop you will have complimentary access to JBI PACES for 6 months from commencement.

    2. Attended the JBI Evidence Implementation Training Program you will have complimentary access to JBI PACES for 18 months from commencement.

 How do I participate in someone else's project?

If you have been invited to participate in a project, you will receive and email requesting you to join the project.

You will need to accept the invitation by clicking on the Proceed to PACES button.

 Is my computer compatible with JBI PACES?

JBI PACES is an online web-based application. This means you don’t need to install any software. To ensure you receive the best of user experience, we recommend using a modern browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox when using JBI PACES. In some other browsers (such as Internet Explorer and Safari) there are some features which will not work correctly.

 Can I work on my audit offline?

Currently JBI PACES is only able to be used online. We are investigating offline use and hope to have this as a feature in the future.

 How do I cite JBI PACES?
