The JBI Collaboration (JBIC) biennial Brighter Futures Grant Program funds activities and projects undertaken by JBI Affiliated Groups and JBI Centres of Excellence that further JBI’s mission of promoting and supporting evidence-based healthcare globally, with a view to fostering collaboration within and across the network and with external stakeholders; building capacity for Entities in Low- Middle-Income Countries (LMIC); and supporting multilingual projects and activities.

The Grant Program is guided by the following principles:

  • The JBIC is a global collaborative evidence network that thrives on the diversity of its members to connect them in new and innovative ways and enable them to work together to communicate and share knowledge.

  • The Grant Program exists to provide opportunities for internal and external collaboration, capacity building in LMICs and support for multilingual activities within and across the JBIC to build a more equitable and sustainable network and contribute to a brighter future for all.

  • In this way JBI can provide support for activities, Entities and deeper collaboration and partnerships, that as a global network we have historically been challenged to support.

  • The Grant Program aims to provide seed funding for projects, and may not necessarily be able to fund the full amount sought in an application. We expect that applications for projects will demonstrate the ability to leverage support over and above the amount which the Grant Program may be able to provide

JBIC EXPERTISE REGISTER

We cannot provide direct access to the JBIC Expertise Register as we did not ask permission to share the JBIC members details when collecting the data. In the future we will ensure that we seek permission to share details so that the register is made freely available in the next round of funding. For this round however, if you provide with us an outline of your area/s of interest, research topic, or the region you are interested in collaborating with, we are more than happy to do a search on your behalf and contact those who best fit your requirements for permission to make an introduction. We will then inform them that you are interested in collaborating as part of the Brighter Futures Grant Program and ask that they contact you directly.
