JBI Evidence Summaries are usually sent to Scientific Writers in batches of 10 or 20 and writers receive payment for updates completed.
For each batch of 10 updates completed, writers are paid AUD $250 or AUD ($500 for 20).
Payment will require that JBI Evidence Summaries have been completed to the agreed standards, including changes as required by Field Editors. No payment will be made for content that does not meet the specified quality criteria.
Once the updates have been approved by JBI, a payment request will be submitted to The University of Adelaide finance services. Payment will occur via electronic funds transfer (EFT). Prior to the first payment, Scientific Writers will need to complete a ‘Banking Authority’ form and submit this to JBI.
Scientific Writers are not required to obtain or quote an Australian Business Number (ABN); however, prior to the first payment, Scientific Writers are required to provide JBI with an Australian Taxation Office (ATO) 'Statement by a Supplier' form. An updated 'Statement by a Supplier' form will be required yearly.
