A clear, descriptive title is important to assist readers and users to readily identify the scope and relevance of the review. The review report title should accurately describe and reflect the content of the review, and should not be phrased as a question. The review title should explicitly identify the publication as a report for a finalized systematic review. It is important to indicate in the review title the focus of the review on effectiveness; we recommend the following convention: 'The effectiveness of [intervention] compared to [comparator] on [outcome]: a systematic review'. The title of the review should be as descriptive as possible and reflect all relevant information.
